SDL International, the leading provider of Global Information Management (GIM) solutions, announced today the addition of Dr. Chris Boorman to the executive management team as the company's first Chief Marketing Officer. Boorman, a marketing veteran of VERITAS Software and Salesforce.com, will focus on driving the brand awareness of SDL and expanding their global enterprise marketing initiatives.

Reporting to Lancaster, Boorman will oversee the global marketing of SDL's corporate, partner and product initiatives. In addition, Boorman will drive marketing for SDL's Software services.

Boorman comes to SDL International following 10 years as Vice President of Marketing at Salesforce.com and VERITAS Software. At these companies Boorman was responsible for EMEA marketing of all of products and services. Boorman joined Salesforce.com in the summer of 2005, and VERITAS in 1995. Prior to VERITAS, Boorman worked at Oracle. He has held positions in Consulting, Pre-sales and Sales before moving into marketing.
